Move over Rock and smell what Bell is cookin’?
Townsend Bell has a lot of titles: father, husband, Verizon IndyCar Series driver, sportscaster and entrepreneur among them. From the looks of his Twitter feed, he’s looking to add professional wrestler to the mix.
No clue how this situation happened when Bell was in Mexico as part of NBC’s Formula One broadcast but, on behalf of INDYCAR, we accept the apology.
On behalf of my family and my country I want to seriously apologize for my actions tonight in Mexico. I hope in time you will forgive. ππΊπΈ pic.twitter.com/sKsfHNopD8

When in Rome … or Indianapolis
Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers surely know Indiana’s history with their sport. This week, while in Indianapolis for their game against the Pacers, they apparently decided to learn more about how Indianapolis became the Racing Capital of the World.
The Lakers lost to the Pacers 115-108 Tuesday. Sorry, guys. Kissing the bricks is cool, but it doesn’t always bring the luck you intend.

His and hers Halloween
Halloween came and went Monday and, while James Hinchcliffe might have been the scariest in the paddock, he had some competition. Tops on the dark and funny list are Charlie and Kathleen Kimball, who channeled “House of Cards” power couple Frank and Claire Underwood.
Feeling presidential for Halloween 2016. May I introduce Frank and Claire Underwood? #houseofcards @netflix pic.twitter.com/dyM2KYZPqk

By comparison, here’s this week’s “Dancing with the Stars” top duo.

Peace in the paddock
It’s not always peaceful in the INDYCAR paddock, but that doesn’t mean drivers and owners don’t love one another.
Made peace with Josef today and swapped helmets. Thanks Bru! @josefnewgarden pic.twitter.com/0IgCp89iih

Teaching the children
With all the dancing talk around INDYCAR these days, Helio Castroneves let us know he’s raising another family member who could compete for the mirror ball trophy.

Birthright
Italian INDYCAR driver Luca Filippi welcomed a new daughter, Margot, into his family. If her birthplace is any indication – Community North Hospital in Indianapolis – we’ll be seeing a lot of her around racing.
Ciao Margot! Welcome to our family.
