The thrilling action of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES continues to attract more television viewers, as ratings climbed significantly for the third consecutive race this season.

FOX Sports’ broadcast of the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline attracted 1.012 million viewers Sunday night, June 15, an increase of 88 percent over last year’s race at World Wide Technology Raceway, which took place in August. This was the first scheduled primetime network INDYCAR SERIES race on a Sunday night.

The charge to victory by Kyle Kirkwood of Andretti Global attracted a peak audience of 1.066 million. The scintillating 260-lap race featured 14 different leaders and an event record-tying 254 passes for position.

For comparison to the same schedule slot last year, ratings for the race Sunday evening were up 17 percent over those for the eighth race of 2024, at Road America.

The strong increase continues a trend. Ratings for FOX Sports’ broadcast June 1 of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear were up 75 percent over 2024, and FOX’s inaugural broadcast of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 25 drew 7.08 million viewers, an increase of more than 40 percent over 2024 and the largest Indy 500 TV audience since 2008.

Through eight races this season, INDYCAR on FOX is averaging 2.007 million viewers per race, an increase of 27 percent from 2024.

The next race is the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America Presented by AMR at 1:30 p.m. ET Sunday, June 22 on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
